Edmonton Dragon Festival

Create multiple reasons to visit Chinatown throughout the year through an integrated program of cultural events.

The Edmonton Dragon Festival transforms Kinístinâw Park and 96 Street into a celebration of culture, competition and community. The festival hosts the Canadian National Lion Dance Championship and the Pan American Lion Dance Championship, alongside cultural and martial arts performances, family activities and the Taste of Chinatown Night Market. Admission is free. The 2026 festival welcomed more than 8,500 visitors over three days.
