Dragon Food Tours

Develop tours that share the history, culture and culinary offerings of Chinatown with residents and visitors.

Launched by CTC in 2024, the Dragon Food Tours guide participants through Chinatown's culinary and cultural landscape. Led by youth guides, the tours feature family-owned restaurants and specialty businesses while sharing the history, landmarks and traditions of the neighbourhood. The tours advance Action 9.4 of the Chinatown Strategy and received the 2026 Edmonton Tourism Award for culinary tourism.

Themes from the 2026 season. Sweet Streets is $15, walking tours are $25, and sit-down experiences and workshops are $35.

Tours depart from the CTC Storytelling Centre, 10601 97 Street NW. Tours run Thursday to Sunday from May to August, led by youth guides. Tickets are $15 to $35. The 2026 season ran May 9 to August 31.
